Character Selection Tips and Help

"Are you having trouble deciding which route you
wish to take throughout the game and what fighting style would best suit you, or have you already decided your ideal fighting style and are having trouble selecting the right Race, Class, Skills and Attributes to create the perfect character for you? Well look no further, this following section will explain everything you need to know to select the path you wish to take, being it Mage, Warrior or Thief, and then create the most powerful and effective character of that particular class! Check it out!"

Mage

Select the Mage if you’re a true RPG magic lover, which will include the skills of Summoning unearthly creatures to aid you in battle, as well as a wid
e range of Destruction Magic such as Fire, Ice and Lightening, plus the ability to decrease the enemies’ stats to give you the upper hand. Mage’s are distance fighters due to their ability to perform powerful ranged attacks and inevitably their lower defence. Mage’s defence to standard weaponry such as swords, axes and maces for example are lower than lets say the Warriors – who is a close-combat fighter and relies on defence – however the Mage’s magical-resistance is far superior to the Warrior and will prove a god-send when battling against other Mage’s, Conjurers and Necromancers!

An advanced and knowledgeable Mage is unstoppable in the world of Cyrodiil, as – like I stated earlier – you don’t just have the ability to perform powerful spells, but also the ability to weaken your opponents defence and stats and increase your own; perform Spells such as ‘Weakness to Fire’ and then blast your target with a powerful Fire-based spell to deal the maximum amount of damage possible! The Mage isn’t all about full-force magic attacks, but a powerful defence-caster also, with the ability to cast dominant protection spells with the use Restoration, Illusion, Mysticism, Alteration and Conjuring spells. Restoration gives you the ability to heal, absorb, cure and fortify you and your characters stats. Illusion enables you to change you and your surrounding to benefit you. Mysticism allows you to absorb, reflect, detect and dispel others magic or health giving you the upper hand against any race or class! Alteration gives you the gift to alter you or your surroundings by allowing you to open locks, protect and defend, shield and burden enemies. Finally the Conjuring skills, which will enable you to summon demonic creatures to fight side by side with you in battle and the ability to conjure strong sturdy armour and deadly weaponry!

Maximising Ability Tips.

"To maximise your Mage’s abilities such as magic use, spells, magicka etc, and therefore get the full use out of this particular fighting style you’ll be asked to make a few IMPORTANT decisions, for example, skills, attributes, signs etc! Take note, as the following information will give you the best of what you’re are looking for:
First of all, select the Breton race as their knowledge and grasp for spell craft, plus resistance to magic, whilst also being extremely skilled in summoning unworldly Daedric creature
s, makes them perfect Mage’s!
The most important Skills and Attributes that a Mage requires are: Alteration, Conjuring, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism, Restoration, Alchemy, Intelligence and Willpower with an already known specialisation of ‘Mage’ and the Birthsign of the ‘Lady’!
Join the ‘Mages Guild’ as it best suits this style of fighter and
will benefit you the most in the long run!"

Warrior

If you’re more of a full-force attack and defence style of fighter with close-combat, blade and blunt type of weaponry and are not too over keen on the whole use of magic then the Warrior if definitely for you! You rely purely on power, strength and the ability to wear big, bulky armour to protect you in battle and brutal one or two-handed weaponry to take out some of the biggest monsters in the realm! A Warrior should have the skill of Armourer which enables you to repair your weapons and armour beyond their limit, making for a much more powerful weapon and even stronger protection.

The Warriors health is extremely high, however, inevitably, their magicka is low, meaning that spell-casting is pretty much out of the question; the odd restoration spell can be performed every now and then, but nothing too major. Warriors health will increase over a period of time in the exact same way as the Mage’s magicka dose! Warriors do have a severe weakness to magic, however, they make up for that trait with their defence to regular weapons of al types! Another positive point for Warriors is due to their strength, they have the ability to carry significantly more when out hunting without having to drop anything along the way to stick to your weight-limit, making the Warriors very rich once you’ve sold up after a few decent hunts!

Maximising Ability Tips.

"To maximise your Warrior’s abilities such as health, strength, attack, defence etc, and therefore get the full use out of this particular fighting style you’ll be asked to make a few IMPORTANT decisions, for example, skills, attributes, signs etc! Take note, as the following information will give you the best of what you’re are looking for:
First of all, select either the Orc or Redguard race as their strength, knowledge for close-combat fighting and wide range of weapon-use makes them perfect Warriors!

The most important Skills and Attributes that a Warrior requires are: Block, Blade, Blunt, Armourer, Heavy Armour, Light Armour, Athletics, Strength and Endurance with an already known specialisation of ‘Combat’ and the Birthsign of the ‘Warrior’!
Join the ‘Fighters Guild’ as it best suits this style of fighter and will benefit you the most in the long run!"

Thief

Ah the Thief; if stealth is your forte then the thief is right up your street…probably hiding in a dark corner somewhere ready to rob you! Thieves are snea
ky, devious and conniving characters with amazing sneak and security abilities, able to steal pretty much anything they can get their paws on! These cat-like creatures have amazing agility and acrobatic skills and can go completely undetected once you progress through higher levels. Thieves – when in use of the Marksman skill – are excellent long-ranged attackers with weaponry such as bows for example. Thieves are midway between Mage’s and Warriors in terms of health and have relatively even balance for both magicka as well.

Every character Race has the ability to pickpocket another, however, the thief has that extra touch and can – with the right training and advancement – become the richest sort in Cyrodiil once the pick pocketing is perfected, even over the Warrior! Stick with the ranged weapons – probably that you’ve stolen – and take others out from a distance, giving you the upper hand, just like a Mage! Locate illegal merchants to sell stolen goods at a very good price, thus enabling you to stock up on money and then purchase even better items for your own use!

Maximising Ability Tips.
"To maximise your Thief’s abilities such as stealth, wits, athletics etc, and therefore get the full use out of this particular fighting style you’ll be asked to make a few IMPORTANT decisions, for example, skills, attributes, signs etc! Take note, as the following information will give you the best of what you’re are looking for:
First of all, select Khajiit race as their quick and nimble athletic abilities - due to their cat-like form - makes them perfect thieves!
The most important Skills and Attributes that a Thief requires are: Athletics, Marksman, Acrobatics, Security, Speechcraft, Light Armour, Illusion, Agility and Speed with an already known specialisation of ‘Stealth’ and the Birthsign of the ‘Thief’ or ‘Shadow’!
Join the ‘Thieves Guild’ as it best suits this style of fighter and will benefit you the most in the long run!"
